City Meet Info & Volunteers

We got information for City Meet. Please read the whole email.

* We will only be having one practice tomorrow. It will be in the afternoon at St. Mary's High School pool from 2:00 PM -3:30 PM. This is an excellent opportunity for the swimmers to get to practice in the same pool that they will swim at this weekend. The address for the pool is 5648 N. El Dorado St., Stockton, CA. The pool is at the center of the campus near the football field.

* We got information for City Meet. Our team will be sitting in the same area as last year. We are campground #7 on the map that is attached below. You can go to St. Mary's to set up at 12:00 PM on Friday. There isn't any natural shade or seating in our seating area, so bring your canopies, umbrellas, blankets, and chairs. You can leave your items in our area the whole weekend, but you do it at your own risk.

* We ask that swimmers on Friday doing the IM get to St. Mary's by 4:00 PM. We have warm ups at 4:15 PM. On Saturday and Sunday, we ask for the swimmer to arrive at 7:00 AM with warmups at 7:50 AM. Bittie Breakers only swim on Saturday morning, so make sure they are there at 8:00 AM. The meet is usually over with by 8:00 PM on Friday and 2:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. If your child needs a ride, please let a coach or team rep know ASAP so we can figure out a ride for them.

* We have the volunteer assingnments for City Meet this year. This year we are in charge of providing a mix of timer and meet marshals. A timer for City Meet is pretty easy as they use the plunger button system. If you sign up to be a timer, please make sure you click the button as soon as you see a swimmer touch the wall. The other volunteer position we have to fill up is meet marshals. A meet marshal is kind of like the ushers of the swim meet. They help with crowd control, preventing people from going into areas they are not supposed to be in, and help keep walkways clear of people. It is a fun job and gets you a front row seat for the competition. For your volunteer shift you meet at the volunteer table which is on the South end of the pool by underneath the scoreboard. There will be somebody from our team to help organize you. We have 23 positions to fill over the whole 3 day meet. I have linked a google document below, where you can sign up to volunteer. EVERY FAMILY MUST FILL UP AT LEAST ONE VOLUNTEER SHIFT.

CITY MEET VOLUNTERS 2026

* There is a few rules at City Meet that must be followed or else the team could face point deductions and the violator could be removed from the meet. There is no taking photos or videos from behind swimmers when they start for their race. This is for privacy purposes. If you want to get a video or photo of your swimmer swimming, you need to go to the side of the pool to take it. There is no camping out in the bleachers by the pool. That is a spectating area only. Also no standing and stopping in the walkway below the bleachers. There is also no parking in unmarked spots. The school will have your vehicle towed at your expense if you park in an unmarked spot. No noisemakers are allowed. Also no profanity.

* There will be no practice on Friday Morning, but there will be a friend of the team who will be doing air brush tattoos for the swimmers at a TBD price. There will also be an activity to make and decorate clips to clip, give to other teams, at City Meet.

* Also as like in years past, the team will have waters and snow cones for the swimmers at City Meet. There will be a snack bar, a couple of food trucks, and merchandise for purchase at the meet. Also please bring water and sunscreen for your swimmer and family as it will be in the ninties this weekend. We would love to have a team breakfast table, so if you are interested in bringing some food items you can signup at the link below.

* Communication is key at City Meet. Coach Mackenzie has made a Group Me, which is like an easier to use group text, to help better communicate at the meet with getting across the most up to date information and stuff like what event it is going on. If you still needed to be added to it, please reach out to a coach or team rep.

* Also there is a few families who have not paid for their swimmer. If you know that it is you, please meet with one of the coaches or reps to pay.

* If it is your first year on the team, we usually do dress up days for City Meet to help show off our team spirit. Friday will be Tacky Tourist day. Saturday will be Tye Dye day. Sunday will be green out day. We hope to see you all dressed up.

* As stated earlier, our end of the year party will be Monday July 13th at 6:00 PM. There will be food, swimming, games, awards, a slideshow, and a movie. We will be watching the Disney movie Teen Beach Movie which is rated G. I have linked the trailer to the movie below. If you have any pictures that you would like to be included in the end of the year slide show, please send them Coach Kaden's way at (209) 659-3801. Also please reach out to Coach Kaden if you would like to participate in the Coaches vs. Parents vs Swimmers relay at the end of the year party.
