City Meet Starts Tomorrow

Dear Breaker City Meet Families,

City Meet is this weekend! Here is a list of information for the meet:

* Practice for Friday July 11th, will be only in the morning from 9:00 AM till 11:00 AM. There will be airbrush tatoos that the swimmers or family members can get with a price between $10 to $15. The airbush tatoo artist takes Venmo or cash.

* For Friday Evening, all swimmers swimming IM need to be at St.Mary's High School Pool at 4:00 PM. We have warmups at 4:30 PM.

* For Saturday and Sunday, all swimmers need to be at the St. Mary's High School Pool at 6:30 AM. We have warmups at 7:10 AM.

* Bitties can arrive on Saturday at 8:00 AM.

*If your swimmer needs a ride for any reason, please tell a coach or team rep, so a solution can be figured out.

* Upon arrival, make sure your swimmer gets their event information written on their hand for the day.

* We have 4 volunteer spots left to fill. If your family has not signed up, please do so ASAP. It can be any family member or even a family friend if need be. If you know any high schoolers who would be interested in volunteering for community service hours, invite them to help ,and we will sign off the hours for them. If we do not fill all our volunteer positions, the team will face point deductions. You can sign up to volunteer on the document linked below.

* Volunteers, when it comes to your turn to work, please report to the announcer table on the South side of the pool. Here are the times for reporting according to your group...

+ Friday (IM) REPORT AT 5:30 PM

+ Saturday (Fly) REPORT AT 8:30 AM

+ Saturday (Back) REPORT AT Event #19

+ Sunday (Breast) REPORT AT 8:30 AM

+ Sunday (Free/Relay) REPORT AT Event #55

* Please make sure you child is in their proper staging area at least 3 events before their event. The staging area for the 7 & Under and 8 Year Old kids will be on the grass by the pool entrance. The staging area for the 9 and older kids will be at the North-East end of the pool, near the diving boards.

* There is no photography or videos allowed to be taken behind the blocks and from behind the 25 yard kids starting area while they swim. If you do not follow this rule you will be asked to leave.The walkway between the bleachers and the pool is for walking only. Do not stop and watch your child from there or you will be asked to leave. To watch your child swim you must sit on the bleachers or stand at the North end of the pool by the diving boards.

* Do not park in non parking areas. If you do your car will be towed and the team will face a 100 point deduction.

* There will be swim programs for purchase this weekend. Price is TBD.

* There will be a snack bar, food trucks and City Meet T-shirt printer.

* The team plans on doing themed dress-up days to help show everyone our team spirit. On Friday July 11th, the theme is tacky tourist. On Saturday July 12th, the theme is tye dye. On Sunday July 13th, the theme is green out and wear your Breaker merch.

* You can find the location of where our team will set up by accessing the attachments below. Please bring canopies or umbrellas as well to help provide shade for the team in our camp area.

* You can starting setting up in our camp area starting at 12:00 PM on Friday.

* City Meet weekend is projected to be hot. For Friday, the meet is projected to be over with by 8:00 PM. The meet is projected to end by 1:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday.. To be prepared bring a lot of water and canopies if you have some.

* For the City Meet the team will have snowcones and water for the swimmers. We are going to try and do a snack table for teh swimmers and families at City Meet this year, so feel free to bring snacks and breakfast items to share.

*The end of the swim season banquet will be this Monday July 14th, at 6:00 PM at the Brookside Breakers pool. There will be hamburgers, watermelon, and drinks provided. Feel free to bring sides or desserts to share. There will be games and free swim for all. If you are interested in particpating in the Coachs vs. Parents vs. Swimmers relay, please reach out to Coach Kaden.

We as Coaches are so excited for this weekend and to see our swimmers swim their best!

About the Breakers

Welcome to the Brookside Breakers webpage! Here you can see what is happening with your local neighborhood swim team! The Breakers are the neighborhood swim team for the Brookside West community in Stockton, California. The Brookside Breakers Swim team was established over 34 years ago and is a local non-profit swim club with approximately 80-90 swimmers ages 5-18. The Brookside Breakers swim team teaches the sport of swimming in a fun environment while encouraging a competitive attitude at each swimmer's own pace. The development of positive attitudes, healthy bodies, disciplined minds and enduring friendships are among the many rewards the Brookside Breakers Swim team has to offer.
