Stay Hydrated at City Meet!!!
Dear City Meet Families,
3 more days until City Meet! We have five more volunteer slots that need to be filled. Please, if you have not volunteered yet or at all this season, volunteer. All you have to do is wear an orange vest and walk around for an hour and a half to tell people not to cross caution tape. Volunteering as a meet marshall also gives you a front-row seat to your child's events. If we do not get these slots filled then team will not be getting points at the City Meet. You can sign up for the five slots left at the following link. Thanks for those that have signed up!

* The next week of City Meet and Practice is projected to have high heat. Make sure your child stays hydrated. Please have them bring water or a sports drink to practice to have to drink. To keep it cold we can put it in the fridge. Bring plenty of water to City Meet, so your child, yourself, and your family can be hydrated and not suffer from dehydration and heat exhaustion. The team will provide some water and the League will have a few water stations around the pool. With this, please bring water for yourself and your loved ones as well.
* All swimmers should arrive at St.Mary High School at 6:30 AM. Bitties need to arrive by 8:00 AM. Please let the coaches or a team rep know if your child needs a ride.
* The address for St. Mary's High School is...
5648 N El Dorado St, Stockton, CA 95207
* The team plans on doing themed dress-up days to help show everyone our team spirit. On Saturday, July 6th, dress up as a Tacky Tourist. On Sunday, July 7th, dress up with everything green, including your Brookside Breakers spirit wear.
* You can find the location of where our team will set up by accessing the attachments below. I will text out videos in the City Meet group chat to help you better know where our team is camped out. Please bring canopies or umbrellas as well to help provide shade for the team in our camp area.
* If you have not paid for City Meet yet, you must pay Coach Mackenzie ASAP. The team accepts cash or checks. If you do check write it out to Brookside West Owners Association. The cost for the weekend is $7.50 per athlete and $2.50 for every event they will be swimming. Bitties are free. Coach Mackenzie has specifics for what you may owe for your child.
* City Meet weekend is projected to be hot. The highs on those days will not happen while we are there. The meeting ends by noon on both days. To be prepared bring a lot of water and canopies if you have some.
* For the City Meet the team will have snowcones, water, and breakfast.
* City Meet practice will continue at the same times on Wednesday, July 3rd. For Friday, July 5th, there will be only morning practice at 9:15 AM. There will be no practice on the 4th of July!
* On Friday, July 5th, at 6:00 PM, there will be a friend of the team coming to do air brush spray tattoos for the Swimmers. The cost will be between $10 and $15 dollars. Please RSVP with the following google form.

* There will be a parent meeting at morning practice on Friday, July 5th, at 10:00 AM. This meeting will be to go over last-minute City Meet information and to go over how the Meet works differently than other swim meets we have had. Please plan on attending.
* Our end-of-the-season banquet will be Saturday, July 13th at 6:00 PM at the pool. There will be swimming, games, awards, and a movie. The team will provide hamburgers, hotdogs, watermelon, and cake. We ask that people volunteer to bring a side or dessert. You can access the signup-Genius to bring something below...
